Furless Cat People

My first thought they were long-in-the-tooth surfers lol. Living near the shore, i frequently see habitual beach goers and after years, their skin becomes like leather. Different 'beings' entirely, but this story came to mind...

How did the witness know they were for less if only their hand and face was uncovered? This was the first I’ve heard of cat people. Except of course the sphinx has a catlike face.

I've encountered a couple of women who truly seemed to believe they were cats.
 
I got my laser pointer and catnip with a string ready for them!
 
This kind of sounds like people in wet suits?
