It makes me wonder why it is only just now being recognized. If things are alive, they are sentient; or else how would they survive?
I was visiting a friend in Maine and she offered to prepare a lobster dinner. So, we are standing in the supermarket and about to pick our live lobsters from a tank. Suddenly I felt as if I had made contact with one of the lobsters. I stared at it, and it seemed to be focused on me. We purchased that one along with others and took them home.I did not really enjoy that dinner.
