My couple days of getting away are over. It was nice to hop in the wagon and get out of town for a few. I visited a really cool antique car museum and a local public museum. I tried finding the antique shop i visited last year to find the 1800's oil painting and buy it this trip but, i believe the place is closed and empty. I did realize that PA drivers are pretty much out of their minds lol. Not one person drove the speed limit there and that's crazy as some of the roads are rather treacherous in the mountain areas. Now, i did not drive the speed limit either but, if i was 10 miles over, they were 20. Getting back to the car museum, i was rather shocked just how many electric cars there were way back when. During the gas shortages, i guess that was an interesting solution that did not pan out for the companies that built them. Even saw a home vehicle charger that someone designed that almost reminded me of a home Frankenstein device. Impressive stuff.

We celebrated Easter on Saturday ( April 11) as a family. Easter day ( 5 April) was a crappy weather day for an egg hunt. It was cool and rainy. We pushed our celebration after much discussion of who was available, when. It turned out yesterday was absolutely beautiful. Sunny and 72F with a slight breeze. We could not have asked for a better day. The kids had a blast collecting eggs. The adults had a blast watching them. Each of the girls prepared a dish; we heated a pre-cooked ham. If you left the table hungry, it was your own fault. A fun day for all.

I have a house rule, especially for my grandkids. You must sit down while eating. It prevents clumsy or otherwise distracted kids from spilling food all over the house. They can sit in a chair, sit on the floor, anywhere they like; but they must be seated. It prevents accidents and makes cleanup for GrandPa easier.
